B: Cultural Knowledge
Norms: The Awarnaas do not lie. It is believed that if you lie your offending the goddess. Violence within the society is frowned upon. Except once a year when we get together for a yatica (battle) and challenge each other to a fight not to the death but, to resolve our issues that we have with another. Sympathy is important. We must show that we understand what another Awarnass is feeling and be able to sympathize with them. We do not steal from each other for it is seen as disrespectful. To steal from another Awarnaas is to show a lack of renay (respect) which is a very important value in our society. When the Erutrec (elders) get to a certain age the ittlae YrcureM (adult males) take them into their homes and care for them until the kilaul (death)
Values: The Awarnaas value nahs (truth), geeo (courage), renay (respect) and, kom(education). Every Awarnaas is expected to uphold these values.
Worldview: Our worldview is based off the story that our Erutrec (elders) tell us about the birth and creation of the Awarnaans and our home Awarneas. The story goes that in the beginning the world was a dry vast land. Oodos the god of the sun ruled over it. His wife the goddess Awara was sad all the time and all she did was weep. Her tears fell on the dry land until it flooded everything. Covering every single inch of the world in the tears of the goddess. Oodos was upset by this because all he saw was her reflection in the tears. So he muddied the water so he would not have to see her reflection all the time. Since the goddess could no longer see her own reflection Awara dipped her hand into the oppio (water) and created life. Thus this was the beginning of the Awarnaas. Because of this we worship the life giver our moon the goddess Awara. We believe that she choose our first queen to rule over us all and that ours bloodline is blessed by the goddess herself.

Classification of reality:
Among the Awarnaas family is important. The names we use for our ivica (family) are, nahnehth (mother), ahdaha (father). We call childern yanta, but, we have different words for daughter and son. Ittla (daughter) and lattal (son). We call grandparents opepol but, call bcica (grandmother) and bibica (grandfather), Awarnass say natte (aunt), lekno (uncle), meiiem (sister), omano (brother). Paite (husbands) call their wives emme. Our society is matrilineal so not only does the monarchy go from mother to oldest daughter. But, so does the land and belongings of the Awarnaas.
The Awarnaas respect titulalu (life) as well as kilaul (death). It is said that when a Awarnaas is close to kilaul (death) they begin to experince the Awara. So that when kilaul (death) finally takes them no matter the reason kilaul (death) they are ready for it. Awarnaas are taught that when kilaul (death) occurs our qupine (spirits) returns to Awara in the form of mist where we become the zitus (stars)
