D: AREAS OF CULTURAL INTEREST
For us in Awarneas society lanysy (festivals), Awaran (moon), SypyG (women), weapons, and science are big parts of our culture. After a certain amount of AwarAa Salkic (moon cycles) our Marra hold festivals to honor Awara and Oodos.
Since Awara is the moon personified is the central figure in our society. We believe that Awara is SypyG(women). Which is why SypyG (women) are important. Because, we believe that Awara is SypyG and it is said that she gives the monarchy power. Which is why in our society we are matrilineal. Giving women control and power.
Everyone is entrusted with a weapon. Which the builders, make out of the lava in the east of volcano. Weapons are important because they help the OoCas protect the society. As well as help the Awarnaas defend themselves from the eelwolf which come out when Oodos is in the sky.
To us Awarnaas science is extremely important because, without science we would not have everything that is needed for survival. The scientist provide the healers with medicine, the builders with temet(cement) and the farmers with ways to help grow the crops. Science shapes all the other professions and farmers with their jobs.
